Bacon was not. For two reasons.
1) Bacon is an all-the-time food. But ham hocks beat it in the meat department, and it can’t be considered a pocket meat, because that is gross.
2) Bacon is annoyingly popular and is closer to flannel or perhaps, skinny jeans at this point. May it one day chill the fuck out and return to its status as chambray.
The argument was caused by the egg. And for good reason. But then, also an all-the-time food.
